Pensacola Parades, Krewes & Mardi Gras Events

Pensacola’s Mardi Gras features a broad selection of events, but the main attractions at this Mardi Gras are the three big parades which boast nearly 200 floats from 100 krewes and parading organizations.

Along with beads, cups, stuffed animals and commemorative coins, MoonPies (chocolate covered cake/cookie sandwiches with marshmallow in the middle) are popular Mardi Gras favors in Pensacola.

Kids and Kritters Parade

Northeast corner of Casino Beach Parking Lot, across from sidelines.

Entry fee for kritters is $5. Kids are free. Make a MINI FLOAT from a wagon or stroller. Join the fun.
Costume Kids and Pets. All are welcome to join the youngest Mardi Gras revelers as they parade in their best Mardi Gras get-ups. Leading the parade will be the Krewe of Kids Royal Court, followed by their members. Decorate your stroller or wagon and join the parade; or parade on foot. (No motorized vehicles allowed) Prize for best decorated "mini float" -decorated wagons and strollers
Prize for best costumed pets.

At Pensacola Beach Elk's Lodge, Pensacola Beach Blvd, Pensacola Beach.

Tickets are $30 per person. Available at Krewe of Wrecks meetings.
Dress Business Casual plus Captain's crown. The Krewe of Wrecks King's Supper. A feast fit for a king served to all previous and current rulers of the Pensacola Beach Krewe. The after dinner entertainment includes traveling across the street to Flounders to see the one hundred dazzling women at the Queen's Dinner. Tickets are limited and required.

Grand Mardi Gras Parade

Palafox and Garden Streets in historic downtown Pensacola.

The Parade starts at 2:00pm and continues until around 6:00pm. Before, during, and after the parade, we work to insure a children's viewing area where there will be kid friendly food, face painting, and other family friend entertainment.

Krewe of Wrecks Beach Parade

Located at Via de Luna & Avenida 10 to Gulfside Pavilion.

Dress Mild or Wild? Weather will determine. Parade watchers: Come early and stay late.  Eateries are open. Bistros welcome you. Pack your lunch or visit a beach restaurant. Expect a huge crowd. Parking is limited. Special Weekend packages are available from island innkeepers.  The Krewe of Wrecks Parade is limited in the number of entries. Parade Safety Meetings are TBA at 10 AM and TBA at 6 PM at the SRIA boardroom, #1 Via de Luna. One representative from each participating krewe must attend one of the meetings.

There is no cost to attend this event! Dress Casual, to Business, to Mardi Gras Costume. The Bean Team at the Elk's Lodge spends days planning and preparing the traditional New Orleans style Monday fare. Drinks are available for sale.  Tip jars collect cash to donate to local charities.
